Course Content

Throughout the course students will cover several subject matters:

·      Languages and linguistics of Classical Arabic

Classical Arabic involves the study of syntax (Nahw), morphology (Sarf ), Arabic literature (Adab) introducing students to the language of the Quran and Hadith.

·      Aqaaid (Beliefs)

Understanding of the fundamental beliefs of a Muslim

·      Quran & Tajweed

The rules of recitation and correct pronunciation of the Holy Qur'an will be taught as well extensive practice on how to implement the rules while recitation.

·      Tafseer (Commentry of the Holy Quran)

Commentary and explanation of the meaning and injunctions of the Quran from reputed Tafaseer.

·      Hadeeth (Prophetic sayings and traditions)

Hadith is a study on the sayings and traditions of Prophet (ﷺ). Advanced students will also learn the implication of Ahadith on legal verdicts and the stance of prominent Mujtahideen in deducing judgments from divine sources.

·      Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence)

The Fiqh syllabus includes classical texts on Islamic Jurisprudence as well as a study on the underlining principle on the governance of the Shariyyah (Usoolul Fiqh)

 

·      Seerah & Tareekh (Islamic History)

Students will cover the Seerah (biography) of the blessed life of the Prophet (ﷺ) and his rightly guided Khulafa. Also an insight study on the women at the time of the Prophet (ﷺ) and prominent Islamic personalities throughout history will be taught.
